In its 12th year, the Classic Wallabies Lunch will entertain over 500 guests at the Hilton Hotel Brisbane on Friday, 24 March 2017. Renowned as a signature event on the Brisbane calendar, guests will be treated to an array of special guests including former Australian rugby and sporting legends who will discuss everything sports related.
Guest Speaker Emeritus Professor Alan Mackay-Sim who was awarded Australian of the Year for 2017 for his lifetime of research into finding a cure for spinal cord injury, regenerating spinal cord injuries by injecting cells from the nose (olfactory ensheathing cells).
Panel Guest Wally Lewis / Australian former professional rugby league footballer and coach from 1970s to the 90s, and now commentator for sport coverage and TV newsreader.
Panel Guest Wayne Grady / Wayne first turned professional golfer at the age of 16. He has continued to influence the sport through commentary, as director of the PGA Tour of Australia and through his own golf course design business.
Panel Guest Andrew Slack / Leading Australia to 14 victories out of 19 matches, Andrew Slack is among the most successful captains of the Wallabies. Andrew spent 3 years as a national selector for the Wallabies before taking on the role of coaching the Queensland Reds for the 2003 season.
Comedian Paul Martell / Voted as Comedian of the Year on an unprecedented 24 occasions, Paul is one of Australia’s leading corporate comedy entertainers. Listing appearances at major corporate events including AFL & NRL grand finals, Bledisloe Cup and State of Origin, Paul’s fast paced comedy and brilliant impressions are sure to entertain.
