What is Personal Support and Veteran Home Care?
Our Personal Support Workers provide support to individuals with physical disabilities in their own homes, so they can live a life full of choice and control. We can provide support across every part of your life, including personal care such as, showering, assistance with toileting, bowel therapy, personal grooming, dressing, assistance with taking medication, making light meals, prescribed light exercise regimes, light domestic duties, assistance with community access activities, holiday support, assistance with hydro-therapy and attending the gym. Veteran Home Care provides domestic, respite, community access and personal care support to veterans. We also provide support to spouses or close family members if the veteran is deceased.
Who can access Personal Support services?
We provide services in Queensland and Western Australia to anyone over the age of 18 with spinal cord damage or other similar physical disabilities, including neurological conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, Motor Neuron Disease and Multiple Sclerosis. We work with almost all funding types including NDIS, NIIS, NIISQ, TIO, private funding such as insurance or Workcover and self-funded individuals. Do you only offer Personal Support services to people with spinal cord damage?

What happens if I need to urgently get in touch with the Personal Support team?
We know your life doesn’t fit within our business hours, that’s why we have an after hours line you can call for any urgent rostering issues.
I’m a private person, how will you maintain professionalism and privacy in my home?
Our staff go through an on boarding and training program focused on caring for people with a spinal cord injury. Our staff also participate in ongoing training to ensure they are up to date with the latest processes and procedures. How long will it take before Personal Support sessions can start?
Once you get in touch you’ll hear from our Customer Engagement team who will take all the initial detail and information we need to get you set up in the system. Once that’s done we’ll connect you with our Service Establishment team who will work with you to establish your roster, specific services you need and any preferences. Once we understand your unique requirements and individual needs we’ll connect you with a Personal Support Worker. The timeline surrounding this process varies depending on where you live, your level of injury/ disability and any specific services you require.
