Our social workers specialise in disability support and can assist you with problem solving in your everyday life by engaging with the right supports and systems to address life challenges, and assist you to build on your strength, networks, and resources.

What is Social Work?

Social workers support you to make positive changes in your life and improve your personal and social wellbeing. They can help you in times of crisis and provide counselling, information and referrals to other services.

Who can access Social Work services?

Anyone with a disability can access our social worker services. We work with adults and children with all types of injuries and disabilities.

Why should I choose Spinal Life Social Work services?

Our social workers are experienced in working with people with a disability or those that have experienced a catastrophic injury. We understand the complexities that can come with having a disability, we have the skills and understanding to support you and your stage of life.

Where is Spinal Life Social Work services offered?

Our services are currently offered in Brisbane in the comfort of your own home or in our Brisbane offices.

What type of services does Social Work offer?

Social Workers can help you with, support through times of crisis, goal setting and mapping, connecting you with right suppliers and providers and self advocacy.

Why would I need Social Work services?

Social workers support you to live life your way. We can help you problem-solve and overcome challenges by engaging the right people and structures to make positive lifelong changes. We also support you to advocate for yourself and address life’s challenges.

What funding bodies does Social Work services work with?

We can work with most funding bodies in Australia except Medicare. We can work with, NDIS, NIISQ, Aged Care providers, all private health, and insurance claims. If you’re unsure if we can work with your funding body, just get in touch with our friendly team via phone or by completing a online contact form.

Do you only offer Social Work services to people with spinal cord damage?

We work with anyone with a disability, whether its neurological, musculoskeletal, acquired at birth or later in life, new or old injuries.
