Transverse Myelitis Awareness Series begins

We will be hosting a series of events over the coming months to raise awareness and share information about Transverse Myelitis.

The first event will be held on Friday 28 July at our Brisbane office, with members, health professionals and other interested parties all invited to come along.

The morning will begin with a welcome from Spinal Life Australia CEO, Michael Powell, followed by an update on the NDIS.

Two of our members, Fiona Donaldson and Gyl Stacey, will then share their stories and the up and downs they have experienced throughout their Transverse Myelitis journey:

Fiona Donaldson
Fiona has been a member of Spinal Life Australia for 25 years, and for 23 of those Fiona has worked in the airline and travel industry. Fiona now runs her own travel business in partnership with Travel Managers Australia.

Gyl Stacey
Gyl is the Deputy Chair on our Board of Directors, an IT executive who has many years of experience as a senior manager in Australia and the UK. She has been recognised for her ability to drive innovation, in the way services are both delivered and used.

The event will run from 10.30am to 1.30pm at Spinal Life Australia’s Brisbane office, 109 Logan Road, Woolloongabba.
