Perth event welcomes member services

June 5, 2018

We’re bringing our member services to Western Australia, giving more people the opportunity to connect with us and each other.

In February, we held six free information sessions across WA, which were particularly focused on the NDIS and providing our firsthand insights about the national scheme.

During these sessions, we received feedback from attendees, who said they would like to have more access to services that enable them to meet and share information and experiences.

Executive Manager – Member Services, Ross Duncan, said the organisation would also be assisting with advocacy and supporting members to campaign for change in their community.

“We believe in empowering our members to be advocates, as individuals and as a collective membership body,” he said.

“We also work proactively with local and state governments on important issues that impact the wider community.”

To celebrate the launch of our member services in WA, and meet residents with spinal cord damage and their families, we are hosting ‘An afternoon tea with Spinal Life Australia’ on Saturday 16 June.

The event will be held from 2pm to 4pm at The Old Brewery, Mounts Bay Road, Perth.

Renowned drone photographer Jaimen Hudson will also attend to share his story.
