Spinal Life and Move Mobility – a new business venture!

October 18, 2023 by Rachel Toune

At Spinal Life Australia, we are always focused on our mission of supporting accessible, equitable and empowered lives, and listening to feedback from our members, customers and community.

The new Move Mobility Hyperdome Showroom is open now at Shailer Park.

A topic that is often raised is access to equipment, aids and assistive technology, from choosing the right equipment to overcoming challenges with delivery timeframes and troubleshooting any concerns.

That’s why our Board has made the decision to invest in an equipment supply business, Move Mobility (formerly known as The Mobility Aid Shop).

Move Mobility has opened a large new showroom in Shailer Park at the Hyperdome Shopping Centre, following the recent expansion of its first store in Robina on the Gold Coast. They also have plans to open another regional location soon.

A new website will be launched later this year, providing greater access for who may not be able to visit in person.

As part owners of Move Mobility, we look forward to ensuring you have access to all your equipment needs and finding the right mobility solution for the right mobility challenge, every time.

The Spinal Life team will continue share our feedback and expertise with Move Mobility to inform their product range and the latest technology, while maintaining exceptional customer service when sourcing and trialling equipment, and after delivery.

Below are some Frequently Asked Questions. If you have anything further to ask, please contact us and we will get back to you.

When can I visit the Move Mobility Logan Hyperdome Showroom?

Move Mobility’s Hyperdome Showroom is already open from 8.30am – 5.30pm on weekdays, opening late on Thursdays until 9pm. It’s also open from 9am – 1pm on Saturdays.

You can also come along to the Move Mobility Showroom Opening Event on Saturday 4 November from 9am to 12pm at 4 Mandew Street, Shailer Park QLD 4128. Check out product demonstrations, a fundraiser BBQ and the chance to win a Pride Scooter!

What will be available at the Hyperdome Showroom?

We’ll share further details about this soon, but we can tell you that RoboFit will be based at the Hyperdome Showroom, which is their first Queensland location. RoboFit is an incredible program using neuro-controlled exoskeletons as part of rehabilitation for individuals living with neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.

Where else is Move Mobility located?

Move Mobility Robina can also be found at Shop 10, “the Rocket”, 203 Robina Town Centre Drive, Robina QLD 4226. It’s open from 8.30am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Will Spinal Life’s Occupational Therapists only prescribe Move Mobility products?

No, we will continue to work with a range of suppliers to find solutions that best suit our customers and their individual needs. It all depends on what you need and what you’re looking for.

Our Occupational Therapists will support you with advice on what’s available, as well as sourcing, prescribing and trialling equipment, and submitting funding applications including to the NDIS and NIISQ and other funding bodies.

This also applies to our Assistive Technology Mentor and any other Allied Health professionals who suggest aids, equipment and products to help you in your daily life.
