Rugby fans were in their element at the 13th annual Classic Wallabies Lunch, held at the Pullman Hotel on 20 April.
Guests enjoyed a day full of delicious food, cold beverages, shared stories and hilarious guest speakers at the Pullman’s opulent Presidential Ballroom.
Guest speaker of the day was rugby sevens legend and former All-Black Eric Rush who kept the audience entertained with stories of his time playing for East Tamaki in New Zealand and the misfortunes of volunteering for a charity boxing match against an experienced cage fighter.
Rugby fans were also treated to a sporting panel with former Wallabies captains Andrew Slack and Stephen Moore and former Wallaby Dan Crowley who shared their experiences and insights on rugby union past, present and future.
Award-winning radio host and comedian Steve Haddan was the emcee of the event.
The day was capped off with a raffle, business card draws and live auction with some fabulous prizes given out from the many generous sponsors of the event.
All funds raised on the day will go towards helping Spinal Life Australia support people with spinal cord damage or related physical disability in living a better quality of life.
The Classic Wallabies Lunch was originally organised by former Wallaby and Spinal Life ambassador Bill Ross OAM in 2005.
