Back2Work is an early intervention vocational rehabilitation program offered to newly injured patients in the Spinal Injuries Unit of Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital.
This specialist service is available to anyone in the Unit who wants to discuss returning to work. Advice is also available to employers about the support and government funding available to them to help a newly injured employee return to work. There is no charge for the service.
Why vocational rehabilitation?
Research shows individuals who return to work in a timely, safe and sustainable way experience financial, social, psychological and physical benefits. This program is about planting the seed of hope, even for those who are not quite ready to return to work.
