Workplace Health & Safety Officer

Workplace Health and Safety Officer – Permanent Part-time – 30 hours per week

Due to expansion within our Personal Support Plus Department, this exciting role has become available.

The Spinal Injuries Association is a not-for-profit organisation providing specialised services for people living with a spinal cord injury across Queensland.   We are currently searching for a Workplace Health & Safety Officer to provide support and advice on a range of occupational health & Safety issues.  This role will also have the potential of becoming full-time.

Duties include:

• Risk assessment and management regarding health and safety
• Legislative obligations
• All areas of Training and Development
• Injury Management
• Incident Investigation
• Administrative Assistance

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A professional and organised approach to work
• The ability to work independently
• Good computer literacy
• Excellent communication, organisational skills and attention to detail
• A current WHSO Certificate,
• Accredited Rehabilitation & Return to Work Coordinator
• Current Drivers License
• Good with statistical analysis

Previous experience in the community services sector would be an advantage
