Payroll Officer
6 days per fortnight
An opportunity is presently available for a part-time Payroll Officer to assist the Association in the delivery of accurate & timely processing of our Payroll functions. Reporting to the HR Advisor – Remuneration & Benefits, you will play a hands on roll in ensuring this occurs. This role is a part time, 6 day per fortnight position consisting of Monday – Thursday pay week and Thursday – Friday off pay week (flexible).
Duties include:
- Processing and data entry of time sheets, calculation of pays, reconciliation of pays, transferring of monies & pay reporting (pay slips).
- Monitoring and calculating Personal Care Assistant (staff) salary increments, terminations & adjustments.
- Answering queries regarding pays/pay slips and reports including liaising with external organisations in regards to PCA’s employment salaries and/or conditions.
What’s needed to be successful?
- Previous experience in the management and administration of a payroll service.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, workforce planning and customer service skills.
- Experience in use of payroll packages (Technology ONE).
Previous experience in the management of a payroll service with a high casual workforce would be an advantage.
