Employment Options Manager

Established in 1994, Employment Options is a Disability Employment Network provider, which supports people with a physical disability and their employers. It’s the only Disability Employment Network service in Australia that exclusively works with people with a physical disability.  We are looking for an experienced individual to manage Employment Options.  This role has financial accountability, operational decision-making and planning responsibility. The Manager will have specialised knowledge in this area and will provide expert advice on both practical and strategic levels.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Preparation of monthly reports and annual reports.
  • Developing, managing and monitoring the budget and ensuring budget targets are achieved.
  • Conducting staff performance reviews, identifying training requirements and promoting skill development.
  • Identifying and developing operational plans and solutions to improve operational performance.
  • Identifying legislation, industry and labour market changes that may impact on the service.
  • Raising the profile of Employment Options through development of the business plan, marketing plan and presentations at conferences.

What’s needed to be successful?

  • 3 years experience in coordination or management of an employment related service.
  • Experience in managing and leading a team of people.
  • Proven experience developing, managing and monitoring a complex budget.
  • Proven experience in service development, strategic planning and business planning.
  • Ability to deal with complex problems with multiple and competing stakeholders both internally and externally.
