The prospect of more accidents is relevant to private vans and public transport (ie. taxis and some buses using a hoist).

As a result, the Association wishes to advance the design and introduction of a safety system, perhaps an audio signal, that identifies the hoist is in place, to Queensland Transport.

To prepare that submission to government, the Association needs to gather and present evidence of the accident or near miss incidences and members are asked to contact Michael Cranley, Community Relations Officer at the Association’s Brisbane office to provide information about such experiences.
