SEAT program

SEAT at schools

SEAT at Schools logoThe Spinal Education Awareness Team (SEAT) program is an award-winning, highly respected injury prevention program which has been presented in Queensland schools for more than 20 years. SEAT is an Education Queensland accredited program and has reached more than 1.3 million children in metropolitan and regional areas throughout the state.

SEAT is proudly sponsored by: BHP Billiton Cannington Mine, Department of Transport and Main Roads, Disability Services, Motor Accident Insurance Commission (MAIC) and the RBS Morgans Foundation.

SEAT at WORK is a new injury prevention program for the workplace. We visit work sites, training rooms and boardrooms and speak to staff about the consequences of acquiring a workplace injury, what it means to your company, your work mates, your family and you.

Our presenters for both programs are men and women who have a spinal cord injury and use a wheelchair. They bravely share how their accidents happened, how their lives have turned upside down and how they overcome obstacles and community attitudes on a daily basis.
