For most of us, we understand a spinal cord injury and the effect it has on the body as breaking your back and no longer being able to feel or use your legs.

Did you know that a spinal cord injury may potentially effect a person’s bowel, bladder, sexual function and respiratory system? Were you aware that people with spinal cord injuries do not sweat below the level of their injury?

There is so much more to understand about a spinal cord injury and the devastating impact it has on someone’s life, other than the fact that it can cause paralysis and loss of feeling in the legs and arms.
