Public forum to highlight candidates’ disability policies
The four candidates contesting the Federal seat of Herbert at next weekend’s election will outline their parties’ disability policies at a public forum on Monday (16 August).
This will be the only opportunity for Townsville residents to hear their local candidates’ policies on disability, and ask them questions, at the one venue before the 21 August election.
Ewen Jones (LNP), Tony Mooney (ALP), Michael John Punshon (Family First) and Mike Rubenach (The Greens) will deliver their direction for disability services in the region, as well as address issues raised by those in attendance.
The forum has been organised by the North Queensland Support Agencies Consultative Group – an alliance of 32 disability service providers throughout the region.
For more information or to RSVP, please contact Cathy Lengyel on 4755 1755 or clengyel@spinal.com.au.
Issued 12 August.
