Workplace giving
Did you know that if just 10% of working Australians donated $5 per week through their pay, an additional $260m would be generated each year for the community?
“The Giving Business” report – The Australian Charities Fund, United Way and Charities Aid Foundation, with PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Centre for Social Impact.
What is workplace giving?
Workplace giving is an easy and convenient way to make small, regular donations to the Spinal Injuries Association through automated payroll deductions.
Just a few dollars per week – the cost of a coffee – can make a significant difference, especially when multiplied by a substantial amount of employees within an organisation.
How does workplace giving help us?
- We receive regular, stable and ongoing funding which makes it easier for us to plan for the future.
- Processing costs are reduced as the donations are received as a lump sum.
- We can build a close and mutually beneficial relationship with your organisation.
- There are opportunities to highlight the work of the Association and encourage greater understanding and awareness of spinal cord injuries.
- We can achieve greater community outcomes for our members and clients.
Benefits for the employer
- Build your business reputation and profile within the community.
- Be seen as an “employer of choice”.
- Demonstrate your community spirit.
- Contribute to staff morale and loyalty.
- Build a close and mutually beneficial relationship with the Spinal Injuries Association.
- Public recognition for your support.
- Costs very little to establish and maintain.
Benefits for the employee
- Receive an immediate tax deduction without the need to keep receipts for tax purposes.
- Donations are automatically deducted from your pay.
- It’s voluntary, flexible and private. It’s up to you if you wish to participate and how much you wish to donate.
- Know that your donation is received at a minimal cost by the Association ie. less money is spent on fundraising administration and processing.
- Make an important contribution to enhancing the lives of people with a spinal cord injury.
- Regular updates on the difference your support is making through our quarterly donor newsletter.
