Make your birthday a real cause for celebration!

Nine-year-old Ben Henderson (pictured) didn’t want an ipad or the latest Xbox game for his birthday.

The Townsville Year Four pupil wanted to enhance the lives of local people with spinal cord injuries by forgoing birthday presents for a year and instead, asked family and friends to donate to Spinal Injuries Australia!

“I wanted to raise money for people to help them with buying equipment like wheelchairs,” Ben said.

Inspired? You can do it too!

Children: Download a flyer so you can hold your own birthday appeal for Spinal Injuries Australia.

Adults: Download a flyer so you can hold your own birthday appeal for Spinal Injuries Australia.

Then, simply attach the flyer to your birthday invitations or give to family and friends. They then send their completed donation form directly to us. Your friends can donate as little or as much as they would like. We’ll let you know who has generously donated but will respect their privacy by not disclosing the size of individual donations.

However much your friends and family raise, you’ll know that your birthday celebration has contributed to the lives of people with spinal cord injuries throughout Queensland.
